Xenolithia the toichos exhibition

NWMW NPO will conclude the first phase of the toichos programme with a group exhibition entitled Xenolithia. Marlon Bagnou Beido, Ophélie Dozat, Mathias Palazzi, Amor Immeuble (Côme Rolin, Olivier Thomas) & Anna Saint Pierre, present their temporary installations inspired by the rich history & cultural heritage of the island, housed in an unfinished building shell in Vourni. Local traditional materials and techniques are intertwined with modern construction, real estate and the ‘foreign’ eye.

The Toichos project, which surprisingly is pronounced teehos, meaning wall in Greek is a multifaceted initiative organized by @nwmw.gr based on the idea of @mathias.palazzi aiming to connect traditional techniques with contemporary architectural practice combining foreign and local points of view on a multidisciplinary level.
