Arturo Kodra

Artur Kodra, born in 1982 in Albania. For the past 30 years, he has been living and working in Pyrgos, Tinos. He is active in the construction industry. He personally undertakes, with a skilled team under his supervision, both the construction and partial or total renovation of traditional residencies. Respecting tradition, his concern is to preserve the island’s character. His constructions incorporate modern elements, which he harmoniously combines with the local architecture. He works with ease with materials such as marble, stone, wood, and metal.

The Toichos project, which surprisingly is pronounced teehos, meaning wall in Greek is a multifaceted initiative organized by @nwmw.gr based on the idea of @mathias.palazzi aiming to connect traditional techniques with contemporary architectural practice combining foreign and local points of view on a multidisciplinary level.
