Architect<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oph\u00e9lie Dozat is an architect and researcher. Graduated in 2018 at the school of architecture of Versailles (ENSAV), she obtained a master\u2019s degree in visual culture in the school of social sciences (EHESS) in Paris. Since 2020, she is pursuing a doctorate in architecture in the laboratory of ENSAV and the University of Cergy-Pontoise with a research project that questions the aesthetic role of the retaining wall in the construction and recognition of the landscape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also collaborates on research projects on territorial and urban planning, which have been the subject of exhibitions at the Biennale d\u2019Architecture et de Paysage (2019) and at the Pavillon de l\u2019Arsenal with the \u201cSc\u00e9narios Futurs\u201d project, winner of the FAIREPARIS competition (2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She co-founded Materra-Matang in 2022 with her associate Lucien Dumas, an office developing pluridisciplinary projects between architecture, furniture and research. Her practice develops around an acute analysis of inhabited and natural environments, with the strong intention of connecting architecture to its soil. They\u2019ve received the prize of the Young Architects and Landscape Albums (AJAP) by the French Ministry of Culture in 2023. The same year, Oph\u00e9lie was a Fellow at Villa Medici (French Academy in Rome). After three years of teaching at ENSA-V for the master’s studio (2020-2023), she joined the ALICE team at EPFL in 2024 as a studio director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
